'a friendly pro-active approach makes them a perfect partner for our needs'

FAQs

I only have an occasional need, can I still sign up?

Yes, Wessex Translations' interpreting service can be used as often or as little as you like.

Can I use it on my cell phone?

Yes of course, but always carry your DialCard with you so as to facilitate ease of access.

When does the meter start kicking in?

You start to pay when you are connected with the interpreter. But you only pay per second not per minute, as some of our competitors charge.

What if I sign-up and want to cancel later?

No problem, you only need to give us notice as per your agreement with us.

What happens if I lose my card?

You need to ring us as soon as you know you have lost it so that we can stop unauthorised calls. We will replace the card free of charge within 24 hours.

Can more than one person be on the call?

Yes, but please remember that there is only one interpreter and she/he will only be able to talk with one person at a time.

Am I limited to how short or how long I can talk to someone?

No but obviously conversations extending well above an hour can be very taxing on the interpreter. In such circumstances and if known in advance we will provide a back up service.

Can anyone use my DialCard?

Yes, with your permission. Corporate and multi user clients will be issued with as many DialCards as necessary.

Are there are any languages not covered.

No, we can provide you with a service extending to over 150 languages. In the case of a very exotic language some notice of intended use will be very helpful.

Are there any restrictions on use.

No, our phone interpreting service can be used for any purpose whatsoever subject naturally to any limitations and restrictions imposed by the clients themselves.
